Alicia Albek is an animal activist and vegan educator. Born in Argentina, she grew up visiting her grandparents' farm, she recognized early on, that animals are our friends and equals, not food. She became vegetarian at 21 years old and vegan in 2014, after recognizing animals in the dairy and egg industry suffer the same fate as every animal in animal agriculture. She founded Vamos Vegan to offer help, guidance and support, to those who are interested in living a cruelty free and compassionate existence.
Alicia is the Chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of Jewish Veg and also on the National board of Directors of Jewish Veg, promoting veganism in the Jewish community and beyond.
She is a member of the Resilient Palisades Plant Based Solutions Team, creating local events and supporting the vegan cause in the Palisades neighborhood and throughout LA county.
